Experience unforgettable horseback riding vacations in Bavaria and explore Franconian Switzerland on horseback. The Trubach valley is a true equestrian paradise and can inspire with enchanting idyllic riding trails. Whether young or old, on a horse or a pony: the fun of horseback riding will certainly not be missed out!

Guided pony rides: Even the smallest can be slowly and playfully introduced to pony riding with us. The guided pony riding takes place from Monday – Saturday. Once a week (usually on Saturdays) we offer a free “trial pony ride” (duration approx. 5 minutes) as part of the childcare.

Guided horseback ride: also for inexperienced and timid riders. Ride through nature with a trained escort. Horse is guided at a walk. You are welcome to enjoy the time in the saddle together (max. 2 horses/2 riders).

Lunge lessons: first riding attempts for beginners, according to the student’s feeling for movement and body, empathy and willingness to concentrate.

Private lessons: for adults and children who already have some riding experience. Minimum age: 6 years

Accompanied rides in nature: for experienced riders only! The suitability for a ride is assessed in advance by one of our riding instructors during a private lesson. Rides are offered in different lengths and degrees of difficulty. Rides only take place in the company of a riding instructor!

Riding vacation with riding lessons for beginners and advanced riders

At the Friedrichshof, a wide variety of activities with horses are offered. Depending on your prior experience, you can book individual riding lessons with us, in which you can work specifically on improving your riding style, but also accompanied rides are possible. For newcomers and beginners to riding, our guided riding is a great way to get used to the animals.

The Friedrichshof is located in the heart of Franconian Switzerland and is therefore an ideal starting point for horseback rides. When riding, children have a team experience with the horse. This can strengthen their self-esteem, but also improve their ability to concentrate, as they always have to be fully focused. We at Friedrichshof offer horseback riding at our family hotel for precisely this reason, as we are convinced that dealing with animals can train a sense of responsibility in a playful way, but that horseback riding also promotes a willingness to learn and improves agility.

Whoever thinks that riding vacations in Bavaria are only possible in spring, summer or autumn is mistaken! A ride in the snowy winter landscape has its very own charm. Riding over snow-covered meadows is a great experience that you should not miss with your children! It is important to us that the fun and joy of riding is always in the foreground. Especially in winter, when you can enjoy the quiet winter landscape around the horse farm, a stress-free ride is possible, where you and your children can fully concentrate on the riding experience. To end the riding trip perfectly afterwards, you can relax with your family in our indoor swimming pool or unwind in our sauna area.
