In the middle of Franconian Switzerland, adventure beckons: climbing high in the treetops! Under the motto “Here the monkey goes wild!” the climbing forest in Pottenstein-Weidenloh invites all big and small climbers. Tickets are already available from 10 €! The climbing experience takes place at different heights: Net bridges, planks and ropes from tree to tree up to 12 m height make up the excitement in the climbing paradise. The climbing park in Pottenstein offers different and very versatile tours and courses. Depending on age, skill, fitness and adventurousness, different levels of difficulty can be chosen. All courses are TÜV-tested. Before setting off, each participant receives a safety briefing from expert staff. Along the climbing routes, supervisors are always on hand to belay, help and support.
There are age limits for the different courses. Children from 4 years and a grip height of 1.30 m can participate in the climbing adventure. Children under 9 years of age require an adult companion. Teenagers 14 years and older may climb all courses unaccompanied. One adult can accompany up to three children: Enough accompanying persons should be planned!
The climbing forest can be reached from the family hotel Friedrichshof in only 10 min. by car!

Climbing fun and action of a special kind await you at the Adventure Park Betzenstein – an experience for the whole family during your vacation in Franconian Switzerland. The park is one of the most beautiful facilities in this area in all of Bavaria. It consists of a spectacular natural high ropes course as well as a children’s climbing world for kids from the age of 5. Safety and environmental friendliness are a top priority at the Betzenstein Adventure Park: The park was the first climbing forest in Germany to introduce the CLIC IT safety system from France. With this system, children up to 13 years of age climb with a permanent self-securing device. Accidental unhooking is not possible.
It is possible to climb 11 different courses with varying degrees of difficulty. There are over 120 bridges, countless nets, tree trunks and also rocks to overcome. The small and large climbers are rewarded with beautiful views of the town of Betzenstein and the outdoor pool.
Since 2013, the Betzenstein Adventure Park has also included the modern Children’s Climbing Forest: Here, the little ones from the age of 5 can climb and do gymnastics on various levels through a giant Mikado made of tree trunks – all from Franconian Switzerland. There is no fixed course, but everyone can choose their own route!
